Marvel has confirmed the release date of “Ghost Rider”, announcing a month ago at SDCC 2026: “Vengeance Spirit” will punish the villain on the big screen starting on July 28, 2028.
The year is going to be hot: On July 5th, comic book fans will see the debut of the new X-Men (the company showed off the core members of the team a few days ago at D23), and on December 15th, they’ll see the new Black Panther. After Doctor Doom and Secret Wars, Kevin Feige floated the idea of a universe reboot.
Apparently, Disney was so impressed with the movie Star Wars: Starfighters (only D23 guests could see its trailer, despite someone leaking screen footage) that the team simply moved from Lucasfilm to Marvel: director Sean Levy and screenwriter Jonathan Troper, who had previously collaborated on The Adam Project, would film the comic book version of Blaze, which was ultimately played by Nicolas Cage.
