Let us remind you that yesterday, thanks to Cyberleek, two videos excerpted gameplay from an early version of GTA VI (a year ago, if believe Insider Nate the Hate), along with screenshots of a supposed game world map.
The published statement (see full text) says the leak is part of a crackdown on unscrupulous publishers, which cyberleeks include Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two Interactive.
Cyberleek says it’s fighting for the rights of ordinary gamers
Cyberleek promises to keep leaking GTA VI material until Rockstar and Take-Two give up “Anti-consumer behavior”, “There will be no public apology or clear commitment to improvement”.
Cyberleek especially hopes “Sanctioned” All publishers who violate at least one of the following three rules:
- Digital pre-orders are refused – retail versions can be sold in advance;
- reject “Fictional DLC for single player games” – For example, exclusive content of GTA VI Advanced Edition (weapons, vehicles, skins, functions);
- There is an offline mode – the game remains available even after the server is shut down.
Cyberleek clarifies that these three guidelines are the lower limit of what is acceptable to publishers, not the upper limit
“Publishers, beware. If Cyberleek can get Rockstar, no one is safe. To all companies: behave or you will be the next target.”The conclusion of the Cyberleek Manifesto is this.
GTA VI will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S on November 19, starting at $80 (starting at 9,999 rubles in Russia). The game will have an extended reveal next week and will be a limited time exclusive on Netflix.
