The developers of Hearts of Iron 4 have begun to reveal details about future Romania-specific content. This is still a work in progress, so the author is intentionally not revealing all the cards, instead leaving room for player feedback and possible changes to the mechanics before release.

One of the core systems will be international cooperation, which the developers have spoken about before. As the focus progresses, Romania will be able to change the circle of partners and even interact with countries on both sides of the conflict. Some focuses will unlock special solutions that allow you to gain additional benefits from diplomatic relations. At the same time, the team promised to take into account player comments, including criticism of the mechanic, arguing that it needs to be constantly monitored for the sake of small bonuses.

In early 1936, Romania had good relations with France and Poland, reflecting its position before the outbreak of World War II. The military sector would allow the development of a then-almost non-existent defense industry, and players would have to choose between exploiting existing advantages or accelerating industrialization.

The Politics section promises more experimental options. The country will have its own Carlist ideas, different ways of fascism coming to power, and the communists will be able to gradually increase their influence or take the situation to a massive three-way civil war. The developer has not revealed all the details yet, so the community is asked to wait for the next information.
