The Sims 4 is getting nostalgic costume updates based on two cult movies. The Mean Girls Capsule and Clueless Capsule packs will release on August 27 and will add outfits inspired by 1990s and early 2000s fashion to create Sims.
The Mean Girls capsule set celebrates the vibrant Y2K aesthetic and tropes familiar to Mean Girls fans. Outfits include miniskirts, sweaters, velvet tracksuits, party suits and math jackets. The developers apparently did not forget the main rule of school fashion – on Wednesdays, clothing must be pink. Thanks to the wide variety of color options, you can combine things and create your own version of the image, rather than just copying the style of the movie heroine.
The Clueless Capsule Kit brings players into the atmosphere of the 90s. Cher’s famous plaid suits, loungewear, layered tops, front skirts and tracksuits all have a place. A jumpsuit in the spirit of Ty has also been added to the collection, so that the look can be created not only for the most popular company in school.
Both sets are designed for free combination, allowing you to transfer recognizable fashion from the movies into new stories for your Sims. If modern trends seem too boring, on August 27, virtual fashionistas will have the chance to once again prove that the ’90s and Y2K are still capable of making a splash in the wardrobe.
