Recently re-released PvP MMORPG Gloria Victis has received a State of War update, adding longer battles and improved gameplay.
At the heart of the State of War update is a new guild competition system that allows guilds to more effectively compete with each other for control of the game world. These battles last up to 30 minutes, and guilds can participate in two battles per day, either as attackers or defenders.
For long-time Gloria Victis players, the State of War update brings back guild confrontations and castle sieges in a new, streamlined format. Guilds can scout enemy guild islands before launching an attack, then breach enemy defenses and capture the enemy guild flag before time runs out. Meanwhile, the defenders must hold on to their castle and fend off the attackers.
Gamigo relaunched Gloria Victis in June of this year, revitalizing the project and its developer Black Eye Games after it shut down in 2023. What’s remarkable is not only the game’s relaunch, but also Gamigo’s continued development of the game.
