Toy company Mattel (creator of Barbie) has launched the Mattel Brick Shop Microsoft Xbox Building Toy Kit, exclusive to the original Xbox console. It consists of 3509 parts and allows you to assemble a full-scale replica of the console, the Duke controller and 3 mini dioramas based on famous games from the first Xbox.
The Xbox console itself in the set is crafted to 1:1 scale and is as detailed as possible. The set also includes a buildable version of the iconic Duke controller and dioramas themed to Psychonauts, Halo and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. They install directly into the Xbox case. Additionally, Mattel highlights how the gamepad buttons work to activate light and sound effects associated with the diorama being presented.
Mattel pays special attention to the design of miniature scenes. They used NanoWorld statues, measuring approximately 2.5 cm, depicting characters from their respective projects.
The Mattel Brick Shop Microsoft Xbox Building Toy Kit is now available for pre-order. According to the Amazon page, this version will be released on October 1st. They sell this building set for $329.99.
