Silent Hill: Town Falls: Gameplay trailer shows off puzzles and sizzling alternate world

In a completely unexpected move, Konami and Annapurna Interactive have teamed up with developer Screen Burn to deliver a wealth of new footage for the first-person horror game Silent Hill: Fallen. The gameplay scenes shown reveal the dark beginning of protagonist Simon Ordell’s journey as he returns to the seemingly deserted Scottish coastal town of St. Amelia. The focus is on the eerie atmosphere, tricky puzzles, and the interplay between orientation, stealth, and survival combat. The core element is a portable picture tube television, through which the frequency can be adjusted and dangers identified at an early stage.

The focus of the presented material is on so-called CRTV devices. This portable mini TV is an indispensable companion in the foggy streets and buildings of Santa Amelia. By precisely tuning the signal, you can not only unlock clues to the puzzle and the backstory of missing Zoe Ellis, but also locate threats. This display allows players to see monster shadows through walls and fog. This allows you to specifically avoid hostile creatures or prepare for an ambush.

If stealth doesn’t work, players must defend themselves in close or ranged combat. Whether using a simple melee weapon like a plank or a loud revolver, ammo and resources are extremely limited, which is why every shot must be correct. The mechanics are complemented by a puzzle structure within the game world. In order to progress, you’ll need to use a prepaid credit card to repair a fuse box or solve a combination of locking tapes, etc.

The developers also showed off another world typical of the series. In Silent Hill: Town Falls, this dimension presents itself as a surreal, red-soaked fever dream, filled with fleshy monsters and twisted backdrops. The interaction of tactile signal tuning and the constant pressure of being surrounded by monsters creates an oppressive atmosphere. Silent Hill: Town Has Fallen will be released on September 24, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
