The developers of Nicalis have announced the release date for The Binding of Isaac: Penance + Online on consoles. The project will be available for Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 19th, the same day as Grand Theft Auto VI launches.
The main innovation in this version of the game will be a full-fledged 4-player online co-op mode. The online co-op update is coming to PC as early as 2024, and players have long requested its release on consoles. The developers went about the release in an unusual way – instead of updating the base game, they prepared a new version.
Confession+ will include the full version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and all new content. Users will receive Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, Repentance and Repentance+, as well as all content added to the project in updates over the years. At the same time, compared with the basic console version, the characteristics of some items in the game have been redesigned, and other improvements not found in the PC version have been made.
The physical version of The Binding of Isaac: Confession + Online is only available on Switch 2.
