CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger have released a new trailer for the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime, officially confirming its release date. The series will premiere exclusively on the Netflix streaming service on October 20, 2026.
Unlike the first season, which was released in 2022, the sequel will provide viewers with a completely separate story consisting of ten episodes. The storyline will once again take place on the brutal streets of Night City, but entirely new characters will be at the center of the plot.
The project is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character design by Ichigo Sugano – both experts worked on the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Bartosz Sztybor retains his position as showrunner, head writer and producer. The authors paid special attention to sound: the music for the anime was composed by composer Tsuneo Imabori, and in the trailer you can hear the song You Can’t Run From Me by American artist Rico Nasty.
