SanDisk declare NAS 600 and NAS 800 series SSDs are designed for network-attached storage. Products based on TLC 3D NAND flash memory chips come with a five-year warranty. Sales will begin next month.
The NAS 600 solution is manufactured using SFF standards, with a casing thickness of 7 mm; using a SATA-3 interface. The series includes models with capacities of 500 GB, 1, 2 and 4 TB. All versions claim sequential data read speeds of 560 MB/s, with sequential write speeds ranging from 505 MB/s to 520 MB/s. The random read IOPS index is 74,000 to 87,000, and the random write IOPS index is 74,000 to 77,000. The values for DWPD (complete coverage per day) over five years range from 0.33 to 0.38. The MTTF (Mean Time Between Failures) value reaches 2.25 million hours. Operating temperature range is 0 to +70 °C.

NAS 800 drives are manufactured in M.2 2280 format and feature PCIe 5.0 (NVMe) interface. The series includes options with capacities of 960 GB, 1.92, 3.84 and 7.68 TB. Read speeds are up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds are up to 13,200 MB/s. The random read IOPS value is up to 2.3 million, and the random write IOPS value is up to 2 million. These units are designed for one complete rewrite per day (1 DWPD) for five years. MTTF indicator – up to 1.75 million hours. These SSDs can operate at temperatures from 0 to +85 °C.
All new products are designed to be part of a NAS and run 24/7. NAS 600 drives range in price from $180 to $1,000, depending on capacity, and NAS 800 devices range in price from $310 to $2,200.
