As we can see, the leap compared to the PS3 version is noticeable. According to the author, the remake shows Significant improvements to resolution, shading and texturesreturning cleaner and more stable images. besides Frame rate marks clear improvement: The game runs at 30 fps on PS3, up to 15 fps, with modern versions hitting 15 fps Frame rate stable at 60 fpshas a slight advantage over the PS5 version in the most demanding scenarios.
The old snake looks to be in good condition
The differences between the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 are rather limited. The Sony console offers slightly more stability and higher native resolution with sharper shadows in the craziest situations. However, the two versions are otherwise nearly identical, so much so that ElAnalistaDeBits suggested that many players may prefer the Switch 2 version due to its portability.
For the sake of completeness, in terms of official figures, the remaster runs at native resolutions of up to 3840×2160 and 60 fps on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series. The first-generation Nintendo Switch version offered 720p (30 fps) in handheld mode and 1080p (30 fps) in TV mode. On the Nintendo Switch 2, however, we went from 1080p at 60 fps in portable mode to 2160p at 60 fps in TV mode (upgrading from base resolution to 1440p).
