The long-awaited action sequel Alien Isolation 2 will be revealed at gamescom, but you can’t expect a release date at Germany’s big gaming trade fair just yet.
Sega will also be attending this year’s Gamescom, which takes place in Cologne in a few days, and has several well-known games in its luggage. This also includes the long-awaited action sequel Alien Isolation 2.
The game was only officially announced as part of the Summer Games Festival 2026, and will now be available for the first time at Gamescom. The playable version shows that development is further along than previously thought. Still, no release date in Cologne has been announced yet.

While the game’s prologue is playable, “you won’t get a release date next week,” the creator said on social media. The corresponding questions are answered there. SEGA has not yet made an overall positioning on the specific release plan of “Alien Isolation 2”.
In addition to Alien Isolation 2, the company also showed off the game at Gamescom Persona 4 Resurgence, stranger than heaven and Crazy Taxi: World Tour.
