The scandal surrounding the massive leaks of Grand Theft Auto 6 has escalated into a public confrontation: Cyberleek, the hacker group responsible for a series of game leaks, issued an ultimatum directly to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
Representatives of the association said in a statement that a complete working version of the game has been distributed on secure servers around the world and is no longer tied to any one source.
The hackers threaten to expose the current version to millions of players if the publisher attempts to pursue severe legal prosecution, legal requests against Microsoft and Discord, and DMCA injunctions. According to the attackers, the system is configured automatically: if control of the account is lost, or if they stop confirming unreleases on a daily basis, the complete game archives will automatically appear online.
