After about a year in early access, the full version of Prince of Persia was released in August 2025. The project later became part of the Game Pass subscription, where it remains today.
Prince of Persia has already received one major update this year, with the second one originally planned for May, then delayed to the summer, and now announced to be released on September 17th. It is expected that more PC gaming content will appear in the game. The developers themselves are calling it an Anniversary Update, but they haven’t provided a full list of changes yet.
Let’s remember that Prince of Persia was created by Evil Empire, the studio best known for supporting Dead Cells, and published by Ubisoft. The developers announced the update on the game’s second anniversary and said their project has attracted more than 1 million users across all platforms. However, the author did not specify how many copies of the game were sold.

“Rogue Prince of Persia” is a Roguelike action game with a focus on parkour. Players must act as the protagonist to save the kingdom, while periodically respawning and competing through modified procedurally generated levels. The game received “very positive” reviews on Steam.
