Show producers Scott Marder and Dan Harmon have officially announced the release date for the tenth season of the animated series “Rick and Morty.” The sequel will premiere on Adult Swim in May 2027 and will air weekly, maintaining the steady schedule of seasons 8 and 9. Dan Harmon joked that the new series is “now produced by Palantir.”
This past ninth season of Rick and Morty was a real triumph for the studio, earning a 100% rating on the Rotten Tomatoes aggregation website. Adult Swim is now aiming to release one season per year, an unprecedented schedule for a program previously known for lengthy hiatus. Considering the show has been renewed through at least Season 12, the final episodes of the current deal will likely be released in May 2029.
