At the end of August, the Gamescom exhibition has been held in Germany for many consecutive years. It’s smaller than June’s event in terms of major broadcasts and announcements, but it also attracts major publishers and studios. Seven gaming shows are expected to take place simultaneously this week – most of them part of Gamescom.
- Gamescom opening night scene. August 25, 20:30 MSK. Gamescom is hosted by Geoff Kiely. The 2-hour presentation will include new trailers, announcements, world premieres and details about future games.
- REDstreams – The Witcher. August 26-31, 11:00 MSK. CD Projekt RED will air daily from August 26th to 31st. They promise all kinds of details about released games, news about projects in development, interviews, special guests, and more. In particular, they will show off the gameplay of The Witcher 3’s new DLC “Song of the Past.”
- Xbox Broadcast at Gamescom – Day 1. Moscow time on August 26 at 17:00. Xbox will host its first live broadcast directly from the Gamescom booth. The plan includes projects such as “Minecraft Dungeons II”, “Forza Horizon 6”, “Gears of War: E-Day”, and “Fable”.
- The Future of Gaming Showcase at Gamescom. August 26, 20:00 MSK. The show focuses on upcoming releases and promises some world premieres, exclusive demos, and new gameplay content.
- Xbox Broadcast at Gamescom – Day 2. Moscow time on August 27 at 17:00. Second Xbox Live at the Gamescom booth. The plan includes games such as “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4”, “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024”, and “Stranger Than Heaven”.
- Gamescom’s fantastic indie games show. August 27, 21:00 MSK. The show will be entirely dedicated to indie games. Organizers promise a wealth of new material and say this year’s event is one of the most intense yet.
- Grand Theft Auto VI: Expanded Appearance. August 27, 22:00 MSK. Grand Theft Auto VI has an extended screening on Netflix and will be available to stream on Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel and the game’s website at a later date.
Please note that this is not a complete list of Gamescom broadcasts; some smaller studios and publishers will also be hosting their own shows.
