Dotemu announced in surprise Blasterbug: The Last Bug! Publish it now during the Pixel Arcadia Retro-fest steam Come free games.
The game is a Party game arcade “bomb-’em-up” Local play for up to 8 players, featuring chaotic battles between colorful insects in an ever-changing arena, with the primary weapon being the Pome-Grenade, an explosive grenade that can be used to eliminate opponents.
Five modes and fifteen playable characters
Blasterbug: The Last Bug! Five game modes are available: Death Battle, a challenge where the last insect alive wins; Coin Battle, where the person who collects the most coins wins; Crown Battle, based on controlling the crown; Paint Battle, which requires you to paint the arena; and Party Battle, which combines all modes into one experience.
The physical version of “Absolum” will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2026
