LG has announced the start of sales of the 24.5-inch UltraGear 25G590B gaming monitor launched by the manufacturer in May. LG says this is the world’s first gaming monitor model to natively support Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and 1000 Hz refresh rate. The monitor sells for $999.99.

LG UltraGear 25G590B is based on an IPS matrix and states that it supports AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync. LG notes that the monitor uses Motion Blur Reduction Pro technology to reduce the effects of motion blur, as well as Dynamic Action Sync technology to reduce input lag. The monitor also features a built-in frames-per-second counter that clearly indicates the current performance level for a specific game.
The manufacturer also claims that the monitor features artificial intelligence scene optimization, which “intelligently adjusts settings based on what’s happening in the game, resulting in increased visual realism and depth.” AI sound support will provide more natural spatial audio and clearer in-game communications (when using compatible headsets).
This picture claims a response speed of 1 millisecond (GtG), a brightness of 400 cd/m2 (certified by VESA DisplayHDR 400), a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and sRGB color space coverage of 99%. This monitor is equipped with 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20) and 1 3.5mm audio output. The monitor comes with an ergonomic stand that adjusts the screen height above the desk, as well as swivel and tilt angles.
