Shift Up has released a new trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade, showing off for the first time what the action game will look like on the new console. At the same time, the developer confirmed that it supports using Joy-Con 2 for motion control.
A fresh video has become the main focus of the release of Star Blade: Complete Edition. In it, the developer showed off gameplay adapted to the Switch 2’s capabilities and debuted new key images of the game in a trailer. However, an exact release date has not yet been announced – it is still planned for the second half of 2026.
A separate feature of this port will support Joy-Con 2’s gyroscope control. However, Shift Up won’t turn every boss fight into waving a controller in front of the TV: Movement will be used for individual activities, while the main combat system will retain the usual mechanics of dodge, parry, and attack combos.
Stellar Blade is already out on PS5 and PC, and a Switch 2 version should expand the project’s audience. The full version will include the main game as well as additional content, and the port itself will be the first time Stellar Blade has appeared on a Nintendo console. For now, the developers advise fans to wait for the release date and get comfortable with the new trailer.
Are you ready to play the game again on your portable console? Or is this a game you’re waiting to play for the first time?
