Now, Chinese auto glass maker Fuyao is proposing to embed solar cells directly into glass roofs. They can generate up to 150 watts of energy per square meter of area.

Considering that many cars on the Chinese market are equipped with sizable panoramic sunroofs, it’s very possible that the power battery can be charged when the car is in the sun, although this still won’t provide a significant increase in power reserves.
