Developer Kyle Thompson has announced the release date for his fairy tale metroidvania Well Dweller alongside Top Hat Studios and Doyoyo Games. The game, which will be released before the end of September, requires players to control a bird with a stick.

Well Dweller will get you used to the role of a small creature with the courage to challenge the Evil Queen. The fearless bird plans to burn the villain to save her family. On your way to your ultimate goal, you’ll fight terrifying monsters, discover new abilities, solve puzzles and reveal secrets “The Rotten Kingdom”.
“Light a match to light up the world and make your battles easier. Collect trinkets to improve your abilities and combine them to customize the game.” —This is how Kyle Thompson describes his project.
Well Dweller will be released on PC on September 22nd (steam), PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X and S. A demo version with Russian text translation is posted on Valve’s website.
