Today, August 25th, will be the opening show of Gamescom – Opening Night Live 2026. This is the main broadcast of the German Games Show, where studios and publishers will showcase their projects. New products and details about previously released games are expected to be released.
When and where to watch the Gamescom opening show
Broadcast starts: Moscow time on August 25 at 21:00.
Prior to the main broadcast, there will be a 30-minute pre-show that will include interviews and small announcements. It will start at 20:30 Moscow time, with the main part of Opening Night Live starting at 21:00.

Exhibition duration and number of announcements
The Gamescom 2026 opening night live broadcast will last approximately 2 hours (excluding previews). That is, it will take place from 21:00 to 23:00 Moscow time.
There is currently no information on the number of games that will be featured on the show. But we all know that Gamescom 2026 is going to be one of the biggest gaming shows. Nearly all major publishing houses are represented – 1,600 companies from 67 countries.
What will be shown on opening night
The full list of games that will be showcased at the event has not been revealed in advance. But organizer and host Jeff Keeley has confirmed several projects that are sure to appear on the broadcast. Among them:
- The Witcher 3: Song of Things Past — The show is expected to show off DLC gameplay for the first time.
- Final Fantasy VII Revelations — Game director Naoki Hamaguchi will be on hand for the demo, where they will talk about the project for the first time since it was announced at Summer Games Festival.
- Gears of War: E-Day – The game will be available as a story trailer as part of Opening Night Live.
- Ananta ——NetEase is expected to launch a new sandbox program.
- Tide of Destruction.
- Metro 2039.
- Game of Thrones: Battle for Westeros.
- Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons.
At the same time, there will be news not only about already released games, but also about new projects.
Please note that Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 only opens the Gamescom event list. There are at least seven interesting shows coming to Xbox this week.
