Sony has officially launched its new mid-range smartphone Xperia 10 VIII. Compared with the previous generation model, it has no major updates. In fact, the supplier is willing to pay 599 euros for a smartphone with an updated body design from last year.

The developers equipped the Xperia 10 VIII with the same 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Sony said the screen brightness was increased by 50%, but did not mention a specific peak brightness value. The upper and lower frames of the case house familiar front-firing stereo speakers that, according to the developers, are 30 percent more powerful. The Xperia 10 VIII comes with the same dual main cameras as last year’s smartphones in the series. It combines a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module.
The old Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 microprocessor combined with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is responsible for the performance of the new Sony smartphone. To expand disk space, there is a slot for a microSD memory card. The 5000 mAh battery supports up to 30 W fast charging and is responsible for autonomous operation. There is room for a 3.5mm headphone jack on the casing, which is increasingly rare in modern smartphones.
The software platform uses Android 16 and is paired with an almost standard Sony shell. The manufacturer promises to release operating system updates within four years. Xperia 10 VIII will start shipping “Mid or late September”.
