Publisher Team17 and studio Absolutely Games have announced the release of Worms: Galactic Tactics. New projects in the Worms universe will be released in 2027 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and PC.
Worms: Galactic Tactics will change up the series’ familiar gameplay. The game is a tactical roguelike in which you must assemble your own worm squad and lead them through a series of battles. As you progress, opponents will become stronger, and after each battle, players will be able to improve their weapons and develop their team.
Battles in Worms: Galaxy Tactics take place in fully destructible arenas. The developers promise many familiar weapons, as well as some entirely new types. In addition to single-player mode, there are local and online battles. The game also offers squad customization – you can change the worm’s name, hat, voice and tombstone.
