We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting news from us about the events of the past week. To say that the leak of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay footage is a huge blow to our team is putting it mildly, and we certainly didn’t want you to see the game this way after such a long wait. We’re really sorry it’s taken so long to get everything done – from finishing the game (we’re almost there!) to releasing more details and official gameplay, and giving the community everything you’ve been looking for.
We look forward to bringing you more exciting experiences tomorrow. It took longer than we wanted to prepare, but as with everything we do, we know we have to exceed your expectations, and we are determined to give you what you expect and deserve. While it’s regrettable that the planned gameplay experience may now be affected by some spoilers, we still hope that everyone will wait a little longer to experience the game for themselves on November 19th.
We want to thank everyone in the community who sent us messages of support over the past week – your words mean more to our team than you can imagine. Ultimately, we are creating this game for you, and we wouldn’t be able to develop the game without you.
