At the opening ceremony of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, Wizards of the Coast showed a large, nearly ten-minute gameplay trailer for Warlock, an action game set in the universe. Dungeons and Dragons.
The game takes players to Darkon, the largest realm in the sinister world of Ravenloft. In the story, veteran warrior Catri enters into a dangerous pact with powerful archmage and demonologist Tasha, voiced by the acclaimed Maggie Robertson (Olin). The game takes place in the shadowy realm of horror – in the territory of the desolate world of Darkon, where the heroine Katri ends up after making a deal with the archmage Tasha.
The developers paid special attention to the verticality, immersion and variability of the world: spells such as tentacles or gusts of wind can be used not only for combat, but also for solving puzzles and parkour.
At the same time, the author abandoned the mark-filled interface in favor of natural exploration of a dense open world. Many powerful abilities will be hidden, ensuring a unique experience every time you play. This version is planned for release in 2027.
