Developers at Another Angle Games have announced the exact release date for story-driven tactical RPG Shadow of the Road – the game will be released on November 12, 2026.
The game takes players into a fantastical reimagining of Japan in 1868, where a group of travelers find themselves caught between the fading old way of life and the uncertain future of the Progressive Era, steeped in mysticism.
Gameplay is based on deep turn-based combat, where victory depends on correct positioning, use of skills, and control of the initiative bar. As players progress, they will make decisions that affect relationships within the team and encounter a variety of characters, from samurai and ronin to engineers, nobles, and dangerous yokai.
