In March 2025, the global version of the free role-playing game “The Alchemy of Resleriana: Red Alchemist and White Guardian” was closed. Chief producer Junzo Hosoi later explained the decision, citing poor financial performance and delays in content release. It is now known that the Japanese version of the game will also be shut down. This will happen on November 25 at 10:00 Moscow time.
Sales of paid currency and in-game items have been discontinued in the Japanese version. The game itself will remain available until the specified date, and after the service ends, the developer will refund unused paid gems.
Resleriana will receive its final content before Atelier closes. The game will add a 33rd chapter of the main story, dedicated to an event called “Our Future”, as well as some third-anniversary events. These include special challenges, new versions of more difficult challenges, and holiday rewards. The developers also promise to guarantee gacha giveaways for SSR characters and SSR memorabilia.
On September 23, the third anniversary of the release, Koei Tecmo plans to launch a special website containing short stories not included in the main game as well as plot recap material.
