The MMORPG sequel is eventually scheduled to launch in October, but it will undergo another larger test before then.
At Gamescom, NCsoft released a new trailer for MMORPG sequel Aion 2 and revealed more information about the game’s future schedule. The previously planned September launch will no longer happen, but we won’t have to wait too long.
The release date for the full version in North America, South America, Europe and Asia has now been confirmed as Monday, October 5, 2026. Release will be via Steam and Purple.
To make sure everything goes smoothly, at least one more extensive test run will take place in September. NCsoft itself mentions a “launch of scale testing,” which you can sign up for via Steam. The test itself is scheduled to take place on Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, 2026. Server and infrastructure stability should be tested one last time before the game is officially released.
There will be a way to play the full version in September: those who purchase the Founder’s Pack will get five days early access to the game between September 30 and October 4, 2026, before everyone else can start playing.
