Navegante and Team17 have announced the launch of the collaborative game Metroidvania 2: Storm Alliance, the sequel to Greak: Celeste Memories. The game will be released on PC in 2027 (steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
The story of “Greak 2: Storm Alliance” will unfold in the unknown Sinoras, where the Greeks and Adara finally arrived after fleeing their homeland. Soon, a powerful sorcerer splits the heroes into parallel dimensions, forcing each to explore their own version of the world. Characters will be able to see different paths, interact with unique objects, and fight different opponents.
The main innovation will be full-fledged cooperatives. In local or online modes, two players will control Greek and Adara and must coordinate to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. However, the single-player mode will continue to exist. In it, players will be able to switch between characters while exploring Sinoraz.
Different dimensions will form the basis of puzzles. The heroes’ abilities will complement each other, and certain areas of the world will require the use of both characters’ skills. Along the way, the heroes will encounter magical creatures made of straw and uncover the secrets of the New World.
“We’re excited to be back with the sequel, Greak: Celeste Memories. For the first time, the love and support from the community has exceeded our wildest expectations, and we’re excited to announce that thanks to the incredible feedback, Greak 2: Storm Alliance will feature co-op!” – said Ana Fernandez, Head of Studio, Navegante.
“We’re delighted to be working with the talented Navegante team again. Greak has been a hugely enjoyable project and the sequel offers exciting co-op modes where we can once again immerse old and new fans in this wonderful hand-crafted world,” added Harley Homewood, general manager of team17.
