Despite hostility from gamers, generative AI in video games is becoming increasingly common, but the creators of Devolver Digital and Croteam (the Serious Sam series)’s philosophical puzzle Talos Rule 3 are in no rush to resort to technology.

Jonas Kyratzes and wife Verena Kyratzes interviewed game informant Explains why they are wary of modern artificial intelligence and their views on the impact of neural networks on the video game industry.
Kyratzes believes that machine learning technology has huge potential, “Some really interesting apps”but now these cannot be achieved because people are very anxious “Make a lot of money before the company goes bankrupt”.
Kyratzes believes that modern artificial intelligence is far from true general artificial intelligence, and Verena agrees with him: “The language model we’re dealing with is essentially just a smarter version of the autocorrect on my phone.”.
“It’s ridiculous to call them true artificial intelligence, general artificial intelligence. I think in the current system it’s just a copying machine taking people’s jobs. But I hope it’s for the better.”Kyratses shared.
“The Law of Talos 3” will lead players into a strange, contradictory world of temple ruins and abandoned science stations. This is the only place in the universe where the laws of physics do not apply – the Anomaly Zone.
“Talos Principle 3” is expected to be released on PC in 2027 (steam) and PS5. They promise a grand finale to the trilogy and even more complex riddles to round out the gameplay and answer all questions.
