At Gamescom, Funcom showed off Dune: Awakening gameplay recorded on the PlayStation 5 Pro. The developer also announced the upcoming Filmic Archive expansion pack and confirmed that players will indeed be able to play cross-platform on PC and consoles
A new 7-minute video introduces the user interface, selecting graphics modes, character creation, and other options. On PS5 and PS5 Pro, you can choose performance mode (60fps/Dynamic 4K) and quality mode (30fps/Dynamic 4K).
The Filmic Archive DLC will be released on all supported platforms on console launch date, September 22nd. It includes many cosmetics and a Saduka-themed base building kit inspired by the Dune movies.
The developers also confirmed that cross-platform play will be supported on PC and consoles. The feature doesn’t have a release date yet, but with the console expansion releasing on September 22nd and a growing player base, it’s been one of the most requested requests in a while.
