As part of the Future Games Showcase at Gamescom 2026, publisher 4Divinity and developer SwordPandaGames have released a new trailer for action role-playing game Juggernaut: Awakening. In the film, the developers showcased the world of high-speed sword combat, mysterious abilities, and Jiannan Dao inspired by Chinese mythology and folklore.
In the new film, the heroine uses her sect’s swordsmanship, martial arts, artifacts and Taoist spells to battle otherworldly opponents. The combat system is built around dynamic combat, combining fencing, hand-to-hand combat techniques, and supernatural abilities.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse into the world of the game. Pei Sanniang will travel through ancient temples, mountain roads, and bamboo forests in Jiangnan Road, trying to eliminate ancient monsters and restore peace to her homeland. The creators describe the world as a combination of Chinese folklore, ancient disasters, and science fiction elements.
