In the Russian part of the web, there have been numerous complaints about the failure of Wikipedia to work: the site has stopped working for many users, although the resource continues to work when using other connection methods. According to the Mash Telegram channel, when this information emerged, there was no official comment from Roskomnadzor, the Wikimedia Foundation or the network provider.
Experts say checking across different networks and browsers will reveal the nature of the problem. According to data from the OONI Explorer service, a record 100% of network exceptions occurred when trying to open the Russian version of the website in the morning, while for the English part, this figure was 75%. Soon after, the situation partially stabilized, with the anomaly percentage of Russian-language pages dropping to 62%.
