NVIDIA is actively preparing for the official release of DLSS 5 Neural Filters for media and bloggers. As part of the latest episode of the WAN Show podcast, Linus Tech Tips host Linus Sebastian confirmed that the team has signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with NVIDIA and has recorded a full video review of the new technology. This means that the version of the DLL “leaked” to the Internet is likely not an early version at all, but the final version.
Linus explained that LTT has the right to publicly discuss work on DLSS 5 based on the leaked nvngx_dlssnr.dll library for the NBA 2K27 client, however, all official materials, benchmarks, and demos from NVIDIA remain under a strict release embargo until the embargo expires. The team’s completed film will be released once restrictions are lifted.
Additionally, the existence of an existing media embargo suggests the technology will be released in the coming weeks (the official launch window is still set for fall 2026).
