The launch of PS5 Pro has hit a snag after GTA VI gameplay was officially shown on Netflix in the US. They’ve disappeared from most major retailers, with third-party sellers selling them for $1,300.

The only major seller left is the official PlayStation Direct store, which has the PS5 Pro in stock at a suggested retail price of $899. The developers have confirmed that GTA VI has received optimizations specifically for this version of the console, but specific details are still unknown. Amazon and Walmart only offer the PS5 Pro through third-party sellers, priced at $1,299; Best Buy and Target are out of stock, but it sells for up to $1,200 on eBay.
During the demo, the game showed solid performance on the PS5 base version, and even on the Pro model, GTA VI is unlikely to hit 60 fps. U.S. gamers are advised to check the availability of older Sony consoles on the PlayStation Direct platform, not to buy a console from a reseller with a high markup, and to be patient even if the device is not in stock: the game will be released on November 19, and Sony will likely restock the retail chain’s stock before then.
