Spyro the Dragon: Beyond Realm It will let us play as a more adult version of Spyro the Dragon and allow us to fly more freely through larger levels than in the past. But what exactly can we expect?
In a recent interview with ComingSoon interviewToys for Bob development studio’s chief creative officer and studio head joined deputy creative directors Paul Yan and Lou Studdert to introduce the new game.
Bob’s Toys Review of Spyro: Beyond the Realm
“The core of what we love about Spyro is the fluidity of his movements. That includes running, charging, finding the right trajectory, jumping at the right time, and then gliding to certain points,” Yan said. “We want this flight to be an extension of that. So now it’s more of a part of the suite, making active decisions as you move through a space designed specifically for this extended suite. That’s our understanding.”
Yan explained that due to the new flight dynamics, the aircraft’s horizontal plane will have greater verticality. “Once you have the ability to fly instantaneously, the world size requirements suddenly increase dramatically. You also notice that verticality becomes really interesting when you’re able to gain altitude.”
“Spyro: Beyond Realm” is not “Spyro 4”, and the author explains why

“We want to make sure players are looking for things in these environments that they need or want to collect. Obviously, gems are absolutely a key element in that.”
Finally, let’s remember that Spyro: Beyond Realm was born out of the stellar sales of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy.
