At the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2026, Archetype Entertainment announced the release date of sci-fi role-playing game EXODUS. The project will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on April 7, 2027.
Along with the date, the developers also showed off a new cinematic trailer with gameplay scenes and introduced Thor, an awakened mercenary and bounty hunter who will embark on a journey with protagonist Jun. Thor fights using specialized combat machinery. She specializes in long-range attacks, quick maneuvers, and creating black smoke screens that can confuse her opponents. According to the plot, Jun and Sol will join forces to fight a common enemy despite having completely different backgrounds.
Another companion of Jun is Emrys, a representative of the mysterious Virgo race, characterized by the existence of multiple consciousnesses. In battle, Emrys acts as a support. The character fires residual spheres, weakening enemies and transferring the stolen energy to Jun in the form of protection.
Ahead of the trailer’s release, Archetype Entertainment also announced a rewards system for adding EXODUS to your wishlist. The game’s sales on Steam have exceeded the 500,000 mark. To reach the first milestone, players will receive in-game apartment decoration in the form of a Virgo star chart, as well as new concept art and the music track “Elegy for a Forgotten World.” In the coming phases, the developers plan to unlock more rewards, including cosmetics, a separate story film about Sol, and new music tracks.
