Russian studio RedRuins Softworks, with support from publisher HypeTrain Digital, has released an early access version of story-driven survival simulator Breathedge 2. The game is available for purchase on the service on PC steam and epic games store 632 rubles, taking into account the 20% starting discount. For owners of the first part, the price of the sequel is 537.20 rubles.
The developers warn that the current version is not complete but is a part of the game where mechanics, plot and balance are not yet complete. It is recommended that people who like to complete projects wait for version 1.0. The launch will take place in approximately 16-20 months.
Development will continue directly during Early Access. According to the studio, the next chapter should be released much faster than the first, as the basic gameplay is already formed. The team has prepared for future content, including story material, two planets, assets, and a ship. Some major mechanics have yet to be implemented and tested, and there’s still a lot of work to be done on level design and dialogue.

The studio also talked about working on music. Sound designer and composer Dmitry Migal joins the team. For the “roadside”, the starting point of the city, its own national anthem has been composed. It was performed and recorded by Ivan Savelchenko and mixed and mastered by Egor Khripkov. The song “Outskirts” is available directly in the game.
Breathedge 2 is a story-driven space adventure survival simulator that continues the story from the first installment. When a galactic war started by the Bressage Corporation breaks out, humans and the artificial intelligence built into their spacesuits find themselves embroiled in a confrontation with an army of coffin droids and their own former allies. Players will have to explore abandoned space stations, destroyed settlements, shipwrecks and other objects on the outskirts of habitable space, gradually revealing what is going on and meeting new characters. The storyline combines elements of science fiction, absurdist humor, and pastiche elements of traditional tales of space adventure.
The gameplay is based on exploring outer space, gathering resources, creating and improving equipment, and solving problems related to movement and survival. Players use found materials to craft tools, repair equipment, and upgrade suits, exploring new areas and gaining access to previously inaccessible areas. During the journey, you need to control parameters such as oxygen reserves and temperature, interact with surrounding objects, and resist various threats. Depending on the situation, characters must explore dangerous areas, avoid opponents or collide with them.
