Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus smartphones will have improved zoom cameras like the Pro

In recent years, the base models of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series have lacked improved telephoto cameras; the new generation Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus versions may be equipped with the same cameras as the old Galaxy S27 Pro, with telephoto lenses and 3x zoom capabilities. The technical features of the new generation smartphone camera have not yet been specified, but ETNews has previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro will have a camera with a 12-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens with 3x zoom – perhaps the base versions of the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus will also have the same cameras. Previously, unofficial news pointed out that the basic version of Galaxy S27 will be equipped with a camera equipped with Sony sensor.

The latest leak also states that the smaller Samsung Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus will feature the same main and ultra-wide cameras as the top-tier Ultra models. Meanwhile, the older Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a higher-quality zoom camera: the manufacturer is now testing a 50-megapixel 1/1.9-inch camera with 4x zoom, but a final decision has not yet been made – the company may retain the 5x zoom feature of the current version. In total, Samsung is testing five prototypes of the S27 Ultra variant, so it’s too early to draw any conclusions.
