Microsoft has launched temporary promotions for major releases more than once this year, offering partial refunds for pre-orders within the Xbox ecosystem. In March this year, Forza Horizon 6 had such a promotion, in April, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag was resynced, and now a promotion has been announced for a new part of Call of Duty, the open beta of which ended a few days ago.
The Xbox Team has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 customers in the Xbox ecosystem will receive $5 back into your account (€5 or £4, depending on your account region) when they purchase a pre-order of the game on Xbox Series X | S or Xbox PC. At the same time, the promotional terms are applicable to reservations made from May 28, which is effective retroactively.
You will not automatically receive the $5 bonus immediately after purchase. Microsoft will send the code to your account within 35 days of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s release. Codes received must be activated by December 15th, and accrued amounts must be spent within 90 days of activation.
This promotion is available for both Standard and Vault editions. The Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will cost $100, but owners of previous Call of Duty games will receive a 10% discount, bringing the cost down to $90. The $5 bonus is also retained. The loyalty discount is available to players who purchase and activate (at least through Game Pass) one of the following installments in the series on the Xbox platform – Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Black Ops.
Let us remind you that in September another game in the Call of Duty series will be added to the Game Pass subscription – it’s Black Ops Cold War.
