Today’s large-scale presentation of the POCO brand is not only dedicated to the flagship smartphones F9 Pro and F9 Ultra. Xiaomi has also officially launched the POCO X8, the entry-level model of its mid-range series of devices for the global market. One of the days, the smartphone’s launch event will also be held in India, where the X8 Power model will also be unveiled.

The POCO X8 launches a few months after the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max debuted in March. The basic model is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772 × 1280 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3500 cd/m22.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. The rear panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and a 2-megapixel scene depth sensor. There is a 16MP front-facing lens for selfies. The power supply is powered by an 8340mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The company claims that the battery capacity will remain at least 80% even after 1,600 charging cycles.
The smartphone runs Android 16 and HyperOS 3 shell. POCO X8 comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. It will be available in black, white, and orange. It measures 163.45 x 78.27 x 8.6 mm and weighs 223 grams.
The device will be available in three RAM and persistent memory configurations: 6/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB. In Europe, POCO X8 only offers 256 GB storage space. Prices start at €399.99 for the 8 GB RAM model and €449.99 for the 12 GB version. Both models are available at special prices for early buyers: €319.99 and €359.99 respectively.
