British studio Frontier Developments has officially announced a partnership with Disney to develop a new video game. The project will be fully funded by the studio and draws on its extensive experience in the popular management and construction simulation (CMS) genre, including critically acclaimed hits such as Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo and the Jurassic World Evolution series.
Joe Cook, the company’s chief executive, stressed that the partnership is fully consistent with the publisher’s long-term strategy of developing leading creative franchises. The team intends to unite the loyal gaming community with one of the world’s most recognized and popular brand universes, however, the developers promise to reveal details about the game and an exact release date at a later date.
