IllFonic Studios’ game Halloween: The Game will be released on September 8th, and pre-purchasers of the project will be able to start playing on September 4th. The first reviewers’ reviews have emerged, along with performance tests for the Xbox Series X console | S.
What critics say about Halloween games
The game currently has a score of 56 out of 100 on Opencritic. But it’s worth noting that the number of comments posted was small.

The reporter noted that the game successfully brought asymmetric horror into the world of Halloween and developed the concept of “Friday the 13th: The Game” to a large extent. In multiplayer, survivors not only have to escape Michael Myers’ pursuit, but also help stranded NPCs, an innovation that most critics consider a success. They also praised the short story campaign, which is a nice bonus for multiplayer and can be completed in about 2 hours.
Disadvantages of the game include technical conditions, pace of play, training and artificial intelligence work. Most journalists agreed that fans of the Halloween series and asymmetrical horror games would probably enjoy the game, but it clearly lacked polish upon release.
