Double Fine, which spun off from Xbox Game Studios a few weeks ago as part of State of Play, has announced a version of Keeper for the Playstation 5 console. Meanwhile, the game was released immediately after the announcement and the project is already available for purchase on the Playstation Store.
Keeper launches on Xbox Series X | S and PC on October 17, 2025. So far, the project remains a console-exclusive project on the Microsoft platform. The game can also be purchased through Game Pass.
Keeper is a lighthouse puzzle adventure game that has received “very positive” reviews from players on Steam and a score of 81 on Opencritic. The game had some technical issues at launch, some of which still exist. Especially on Xbox Series X | it still only runs at 30 FPS. After launch, it only received one major update, which added a black mode.
Xbox and Double Fine didn’t specify sales results for Keeper, but the project is off to a pretty weak start on Steam. So far, the highest number of players online remains at the level of 191 reached at launch. At the same time, some media included the project in the list of the best releases last year.
Let us remind you that the rights to Keeper now belong exclusively to Double Fine.
