Nvidia has revealed more details about the launch of the RTX Spark platform. The chip, now officially known as N1X, will appear in laptops in October and will be available in two configurations.

The more powerful N1X variant will combine a 20-core Grace processor with a Blackwell GPU with 6144 CUDA cores, and will get 24 to 128 GB of unified memory. The chip will be used in notebook computers and mini-computers. The entry-level version consists of an 18-core CPU and Blackwell GPU with 5120 CUDA cores and offers 24 to 32 GB of unified memory. This version is only available for laptops.
Nvidia announced the news ahead of IFA Berlin, where Lenovo and Acer unveiled new N1X-based systems. Lenovo released the Yoga 9n convertible laptop, and Acer released the SFF RTX Spark compact desktop computer. The cost of the new products shown has not yet been announced.
Asus, Dell, MSI, HP and Microsoft will also release their own N1X-based systems. The latter launched its flagship product Surface Laptop Ultra at Computex Taipei this year. Although Nvidia has already demonstrated the gaming capabilities of the N1X, the new system is primarily positioned as laptops and mini PCs for working with AI agents. The company also promises laptop battery life on the new platform will last an entire workday.
One of the features of the N1X is the sharing of unified memory between the CPU and graphics processor. Apple has taken a similar approach with its M-series processors, and AMD has adopted Strix Halo and the upcoming Gorgon Halo in the x86 space. The maximum memory capacity in older N1X configurations will be 128GB, which is especially important for launching large AI models locally.
The name N1X has appeared several times in previous leaks, but this is the first time Nvidia has used it publicly. This indirectly confirms the possibility of a more affordable N1 chip, about which information also emerged earlier, although Nvidia has not yet officially announced it.
The N1X launch is also noteworthy because it will end Qualcomm’s virtual exclusivity as the supplier of Arm processors for modern Windows PCs. Nvidia’s entry into this ecosystem may attract more application developers interested in using the company’s software technology.
It’s unclear which devices will be available in October and which will be available later this year. The manufacturer may reveal a more accurate date closer to the actual launch of the N1X.
