Gaijin Entertainment and Matter Team have released a major update, “250 Shades Freed,” for hardcore online shooter Active Matter, making it the last update before the full release. Let us remind you that the game will be steam and launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles on September 15, 2026. Currently this project is only available through Gaijin Launcher.
The main innovation is the “city center” raid. The agents will travel to an abandoned metropolis with dilapidated skyscrapers, wide avenues and abandoned cars. It turns out the city is not as empty as it first appears. Former police officers and SWAT troopers who have been exposed to active substances patrol the streets. They retained their weapons and fighting skills.
The arsenal was replenished with American rifles M14, M39 EMR and SCAR-H, as well as P17-V pistols and other weapons. To the existing barrel, the developers added variable magnification sights, new pistol and foregrips, a red dot sight for the pistol, a laser designator, and a silencer.
The range of weapon adapters has also been expanded. With their help, you can mount modern optics with a Picatinny rail mount on a weapon with a dovetail mount and also change the mounting height of the sight if the standard front sight interferes with your sight. Camouflage can now be selected for weapons.
In addition, an American armored vehicle, a classic 1978 SUV and several Soviet vehicles appear in the game. Car horns and engine noise can scare away some monsters, while the off-road vehicle’s powerful spotlight can temporarily blind opponents.
