Xbox’s Remote Play feature allows users of the Microsoft gaming ecosystem to stream projects from their console to virtually any device. But for a long time, broadcasting was limited to 1080p. Microsoft appears to be making changes, with some players reporting that streaming now supports 1440p.
Users are the first to notice this Reddit Nickname RC1992Jules. He wrote that he started streaming games from Xbox Series X at 1440p resolution, later clarifying some details.

Update: I am a member of the Alpha Ring Insider Project. I don’t see any comments about this, so I don’t even know if it’s relevant. I personally stumbled upon this change.
Second addition: I disabled Better xCloud and tried remote playback streaming again – the resolution was still 1440p. Therefore, it is not Better xCloud that provides this capability. The maximum bit rate I’ve seen on the iPad is 32.2 Mbps.

Several other players in the comments on this user post also confirmed that they noticed remote games running at 1440p. However, Microsoft has not officially announced or confirmed this change.
As a reminder, remote gaming is independent of Xbox cloud gaming. In other words, it will not be subject to the restrictions that Microsoft introduced for its cloud gaming service in November.
