Polyphony Digital has announced a massive Spec IV update for racing simulator Gran Turismo 7. The patch is timed to coincide with the entire series’ upcoming 30th anniversary, and will be split into two parts, releasing in October and December 2026.
This update will add a total of 12 new cars and two tracks to the game. In October, players will have access to the challenging Sportsland SUGO circuit in Japan and the first six cars, including the Citroën 2CV Charleston, Honda StepWGN, BMW M5 E60 and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept car. In December, the developers will return the legendary Autumn Ring circuit, which has been absent from the series for more than a decade, and will also add a second batch of six cars.
In addition, the update will also bring new modes: the October patch will add experience challenges and increase the collector level limit, and the December patch will add family mode, global drift competition online drift trials and random shuffle competitions. The developers will also improve the AI agent Sophy. The exact release date will be announced at the Gran Turismo World Series on October 3rd.
