According to MP1st, we’re talking about a remake or (more likely) remaster of a Killzone game. The reporter believes that the most logical choice for modernization is the original Killzone on PS2.
A remake/remaster of Killzone is not expected to be announced anytime soon. Presumably, the game is planned to be released after the three-player co-op action game Horizon Hunters Gathering (if there is one), but before the sequel Horizon Forbidden West.

Killzone Remastered/Remastered is produced by Guerrilla Games in collaboration with third-party studios. MP1st sources point to Polish People Can Fly (Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, Outriders).
This theory is supported by the fact that People Can Fly has been playing a game codenamed Mystery since March 2025 delta planone of the franchises based on Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Killzone was released exclusively on PS2 in November 2004 and was positioned as a response to Halo. The game received mixed reviews (70% metacritic), but made money for the sequel – by December 2005, sales topped 2 million copies.
